  • Is the dog garden fenced in and is it escape-proof?
Yes , the dog garden is fenced in and escape-proof! Since Hugo (private dog) is an escape master, the dog garden was well secured. The wooden picket fence is also equipped with a metal grille (rabbit wire) so that even the little ones stay in the dog garden. Here too, the highest priority is the safety of the dog.
  • What if my dog doesn't get along with all service dogs?
The garden consists of 3 different enclosures. The dog rooms also have separate exits to the garden. • How many dogs are taken in for care?
Since the Hundeglück house is not that big and is looked after by one person, a maximum of 8-9 dogs are accepted per day. There is space for around 5-6 dogs to stay overnight. Depending on the individual care or tolerance of the dogs, the number can vary, but no more than 8-9 dogs are accepted per day to ensure the quality of care.
  • Does my male dog have to be neutered?
No , intact male dogs are also accepted for care. Since the male dogs mark more (including in the house) and sometimes cause unrest in the pack, an additional charge of €10 per day is required. If the dog has a hormone chip, it is considered a neutered male dog for care purposes.
  • Can my dog in heat come for care?
No. Unfortunately, female dogs in heat cannot come for care, as Hundeglück Zillertal supervises unneutered male dogs. The heat brings additional unrest in the pack and causes stress among the dogs. We do not want to be responsible if a male dog manages to mate with a female dog in heat.
  • Can I be present when the dogs are brought together?
No, the dogs are brought together only under the supervision of the carer, without the presence of the owners. Owners are often nervous or unsure. In order to avoid unrest, the gathering is always carried out after the dog owner has left so that no uncertainty or nervousness is passed on to the dog.
  • Can I pet the care dogs?
The dog boarding facility is not a petting zoo! Because some dogs are prone to jealousy, do not always accept strangers, or the simple presence of a person could cause unrest or arguments, petting the care dogs is not permitted. This applies to the protection of dogs as well as people. Not every dog likes strangers. To avoid the risk of injury, dogs that are not your own must not be touched. For Hundeglück Zillertal, the safety of the dogs has the highest priority.
  • How does feeding work?
To prevent food envy, each dog gets his food in his box or in his own room. The dog can eat there undisturbed. If a bowl is not empty, the box or dog room is closed so that another dog does not eat the food. Not every dog can tolerate everything, so all bowls are checked after feeding and, if necessary, made inaccessible to other dogs. Dogs sharing a room are supervised when feeding. Each dog receives exactly what was announced on the registration form and brought with them. After consultation, the dogs sometimes receive treats from the caregiver. But only if the dog can tolerate it. The carer will be happy to explain which treats are available upon request.
  • What food do the dogs get during care?
At Hundeglück Zillertal, food is not provided for the duration of the care. Since many dogs are already on a tolerable diet, we ask that you bring your own food with you for the duration of your stay. If the quantity is not enough, the food will be purchased and billed to the respective owner. It is also possible to order food for the care stay from Apollo's Finest via the Apollo's Finest menu (you can find this in the attachment to the offer, email) before the care. This food is then delivered for care so that the dog owner does not have to carry dog food. Delivery and feeding costs can be paid by the owner before care using Apollo's Finest's payment link.
  • How far in advance do I have to make a reservation for care?
Since Hundeglück Zillertal only has a few childcare places (especially overnight places) available, early reservation is recommended. Particularly during the holiday periods, places are already occupied months in advance. Inquiries will only be processed by email or via the website. Note: The non-binding offer only becomes binding once payment has been received and a reservation confirmation (via email) has been received. The rule here is: first come, first served.
  • How is payment made?
Payment must be made 1 week before the start of care via online transfer. For very short-term inquiries (one day in advance) there is also the option of paying in cash on site. If you pay in cash, you will be asked to give the appropriate amount, as change is not always available when looking after you.

If you cancel too late, there is unfortunately no option to reschedule or change the date. The reservation only applies to the requested period. Holiday care can be canceled free of charge up to 7 days before the start of care. Payments made will be returned after receipt of the bank transfer details by email. In the event of a short-term cancellation (or simply no-show), 100% of the care will be charged. The cancellation should be made in writing via email or WhatsApp/SMS. • What is the “Dog Hour”?
The dog lesson is supervised play in the dog happiness garden. Since there is no dog meadow or exercise area in Mayrhofen, outsiders can use the garden for 1 hour, although in comparison to the other exercise areas, the carer is responsible for supervising the dogs. Dog owners can chat with others over coffee during this hour, and their dogs can play and simply enjoy contact with other dogs.
